From Stage to Soul: Unveiling the Power of Ancient Greek Theater

From Stage to Soul: Unveiling the Power of Ancient Greek Theater

The 2nd retreat on Thassos island takes place from August 2nd to 4th, 2024, and is inspired by ancient Greek theater. With many references to world-renowned classical authors such as Sophocles, Euripides, and Aeschylus, as well as to lesser-known figures, we will explore the enduring healing value of ancient theater for the human soul with ethos and love.

Through dynamic workshops and raw, unfiltered discussions, we will strive to understand the connection between ancient Greek actors and contemporary performers, as well as the importance of “acting” in general. We will seek ways to present our best selves in the theater of life. How will we dress ourselves? Are we ready to stand alone and be judged? Who do we want as our audience? Theater, one of Greece’s contributions to the world, will be our tool to explore our deepest emotions and challenge our core beliefs.
